Sail Along, Let me write you a song, You're the one that I love, On a hot summer's day, When there's nobody around, A step closer to my dream, If you know what I mean. Coz you're my inspiration, For a child with imagination, On with a bag full of pens and papers, On to meet some obligation, You're the reason for this love, Tucked deep down in my heart. Coz this daily trouble, This rush and sudden stumble, These people and lonely places, Mad cars chasing those dreams, These pills and washes and dishes, These skyscrapers and beautiful places, These strangers for life, Wear me down, And make me write this song. For I need you, And lying down in this sweet smelling grass, Swaying flowers and trees and skies, Where do you come from , And where do you go, I need to know, Touch as soft, A song from heaven above, Felt? Touched? Heard? Coz I gotta go, It's that time of the day, When my senses turn numb, As I run and stumble, And mumble, Words I shouldn't say, For things I shouldn't do, For eyes that shouldn't see, When I shouldn't be me. Where's life without You, California Breezes, Sail Along, Let me write you a song, You're the one that I love, On a hot summer's day, When there's nobody around, A step closer to my dream, If you know what I mean. |
